Колектив Науково-дослідного центру індустріальних проблем розвитку НАН України з глибоким болем і обуренням сприйняв звістку про прямий удар Росії реактивним дроном по будівлі Президії Національної академії наук України у центрі Києва 28 вересня 2026 року. Ця атака, внаслідок якої загинули двоє людей і значних руйнувань зазнала історична будівля Президії Академії, є актом російського державного тероризму проти людей, української науки та національних інституцій України.
Висловлюємо глибокі співчуття рідним і близьким загиблих. Поділяємо біль непоправної втрати разом з усією академічною спільнотою України.
Удар по Президії НАН України є актом російського державного тероризму, спрямованого проти людей, української науки, інтелектуального потенціалу та національних інституцій нашої держави. Це черговий злочин Російської Федерації у системній війні на знищення України, її громадян, культури, історичної пам’яті та права самостійно визначати власне майбутнє.
Атака на будівлю, яка понад століття є одним із символів української науки, вкотре засвідчила: для держави-агресора не існує ані гуманітарних меж, ані поваги до людського життя, ані недоторканних осередків освіти, науки та культури.
Колектив Центру висловлює солідарність із Президією НАН України, працівниками Академії та всією науковою спільнотою. Ми підтримуємо вимогу щодо повної міжнародно-правової відповідальності Російської Федерації та всіх причетних до організації й здійснення цього злочину.
Закликаємо міжнародні академії наук, університети, дослідницькі центри, наукові фонди та професійні об’єднання рішуче засудити російський терор і не допускати відновлення чи легітимізації співпраці з державними науковими й освітніми установами Росії, доки вона продовжує агресивну війну проти України.
Не може бути нормалізації відносин із державою, яка вбиває людей і знищує наукові установи. Росія має понести повну відповідальність за кожне відібране життя і кожен злочин, учинений на українській землі.
Українську науку не знищити. Україну не зламати.
Statement by the Research Centre for Industrial Problems of Development of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine on Russia’s attack on the Presidium of the NAS of Ukraine

The staff of the Research Centre for Industrial Problems of Development of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine received with profound sorrow and outrage the news that Russia had carried out a direct strike with a jet-powered drone on the building of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in central Kyiv on 28 September 2026. The attack, which killed two people and caused extensive damage to the Academy’s historic building, was an act of Russian state terrorism against people, Ukrainian science and the national institutions of Ukraine.
We extend our deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of those killed. We share the pain of this irreparable loss with the entire academic community of Ukraine.
The strike on the Presidium of the NAS of Ukraine was an act of Russian state terrorism directed against people, Ukrainian science, the intellectual potential and the national institutions of our country. It is another crime committed by the Russian Federation in its systematic war to destroy Ukraine, its citizens, culture, historical memory and right to determine its own future.
The attack on a building that has been one of the symbols of Ukrainian science for more than a century has once again shown that the aggressor state recognises neither humanitarian limits nor respect for human life, and regards no centres of education, science or culture as inviolable.
The Centre’s staff express their solidarity with the Presidium of the NAS of Ukraine, Academy employees and the entire scientific community. We support the call for the Russian Federation and all those involved in organising and carrying out this crime to be held fully accountable under international law.
We call on national academies of sciences, universities, research centres, scientific foundations and professional associations around the world to condemn Russian terror in the strongest terms and to prevent the resumption or legitimisation of cooperation with Russian state scientific and educational institutions for as long as Russia continues its war of aggression against Ukraine.
Relations cannot be normalised with a state that kills people and destroys scientific institutions. Russia must be held fully accountable for every life taken and every crime committed on Ukrainian soil.
Ukrainian science cannot be destroyed. Ukraine cannot be broken.
